The trees may be bare, and daylight at a minimum, but there will be exciting light installations throughout the centre of the city. You’ll walk from one installation to another so wear your best walking-shoes. It’s after dark and the atmosphere is warm with good-humoured groups on the move.
Light installations, created by artists, are set up around the centre using the city's architecture as the backdrop. There is lots of variety, from nostalgic to funny to absurd to confrontational to pure genius. It’s a unique experience, costs nothing – yes again, ‘the best things in life are free’.
If you are interested in the Light Festival, the following links will have more information towards the end of 2017.
