Another lovely spring walk especially if the plane trees have come into leaf. The first part mainly plane trees but after that, from the Wetering Circuit onwards, you get a lovely sweep of weeping willow weeping away into the water. This part has a great backdrop with the Rijksmuseum behind, magnifique.

Reopened in April 2013 after 10 years of renovation, the renovated building is really beautiful and the exterior is worth your full attention too.
Surprisingly, this route is another untrod path. Usually you'll only encounter the odd dog-walker or random tourist or just a few (other) old drunks ; )
This walk is watery and leafy; you can walk it in either direction and at any time of the day. As it includes a park, best to keep it to daylight hours.
